So far, it's AMAZING. Surpassed expectations
I must say, I was a little hesitant to spent my hard earned textbook trade-in credit for bedding that may or may not be worth it...even at this steal of a price! I took the risk...and the risk paid off!!!

Despite the item saying "1000 Thread Count Egyptian Duvet Cover" it came in packaging that said "1200". And it does in fact feel quite soft...and thick. So I am inclined to say it is actually 1200 thread count. And can I just say...OH MY GOODNESS IT IS SOFT. Kind of like the way your favorite flannel pajamas feel after you've broken them in. That's how this duvet cover felt after unpacking and washing it. Slept under it for the first time last night (after it arrived just hours before...couldn't help myself it felt so soft!). I also bought the sheet set to go along with it, it's mentioned as 1200 thread count but also came at a higher thread count...packaging said 1500 thread count and it's even softer than the duvet cover so again, I think it's right.

Can't tell the difference in quality
Can't tell the difference in quality between this and my $800 duvet cover. This is a killer buy at en even better price!
Perfect color
Very happy with the color and quality of the duvet. Just what I was looking for and fits well. It would be nice if it had ties in the inside corner to hold the comforter in place. I used large safety pins but definitely not a good idea if used on a child's bed. Other wise no complaints and would recommend this purchase.

Complements and completes my 1000 thread count sheets
I've had the cherry red 1000 count sheets for a while now, but wasn't able to find a matching duvet cover for a long while. The white duvet cover I had was soft enough, but always looked off on my sheets.

This cover is very soft and silky - it is noticeable right from opening the packaging. I have extra red pillow covers (comes with two), which isn't a bad problem to have.

The button structure for closing the duvet was new to me - the buttons are on a fold that is inside the covers (essentially hiding them from the outside). Weird to get used to, but also possible a good way to accidentally pulling the buttons off.

So-so
It's ok but it the buttons came off the time I opened the package. The first wash also the color started coming off a little bit.
I washed it once and it got a tear in it
I really like the softness and color but the duvet cover got a big hole in it after I washed it only one time! Very annoying..don'
t think I will purchase bedding on Amazon again

Amazing Quality for Amazing Price
We couldn't be happier with this purchase, only wish we had bought four instead of two! This duvet is smooth and resistant to wrinkles. Even better, its quality, high thread count make it so silky that lint seems to slide right off. Yes, there is lint; it isn't immune, but it does seem less magnetic than rougher, lower thread-count covers. Highly recommended in any and all colors, but we will not buy two more until the price comes back down to where it was when we purchased ours, which was around $40 at Christmastime.

Don't breath well.
So I decided to upgrade form my 400TC Target sheets to these. They definitely feel softer however these don't breath at all. I used to use a sheet, fleece blanket and comforter and slept comfortable. After switching to these sheets I know just my comforter and duvet cover (same company/tc as sheets) and I am hot all night. I bought these in fall mind you so I went through winter. I generally run hot so if you typically are fine then who knows. All I know is I will switching back to my Target sheets for this reason.

Also, after reading some reviews and such I've heard that you can buy high TC sheets that are a terrible fiber cotton which can lead to a less desirable sheet. Maybe that's what happened here.
Not Egyptian cotton ~
The item is mislabled as Egyptian cotton and should be labeled "compare to Egyptian cotton 1000 threadcount." Bedskirt and duvet were of differing thread counts so the sheen and color were slightly off. Definitely not Egyptian cotton by the feel and the packaging confirmed that. I requested a refund from the vendor for a second set but the first set I bought and gave as a direct mail to recipient gift seemed to work fine for them without the concerns I had for my own set. The vendor refunded all costs with a note of apology. Product seemed well made just not what I thought I had bought. Vendor very helpful and courteous.
