Overall, a great duvet cover but with a couple of caveats
I bought this duvet cover for our guest room that's in the process of being turned into a baby's room as well. For me, this duvet is absolutely perfect because it's modern-looking enough that it can blend in with most other modern patterns I may use and the colors cover a fairly wide spectrum. You could use a deep chocolatey brown (the dark color in this pattern is actually more of a dark burgundy but you can really only see it close up, otherwise it looks like a brown and looks GREAT when paired with a brown), a slate grey or a light blue (the color can easily pass for either), gold, olive green or sage, burgundy, etc. We are either going to do a brown and sage nursery or a grey themed one with splashes of gold. Either one will look fabulous.
The duvet washes nicely. It only comes with the duvet cover, two queen-size pillow cases and the small square pillow case. I had a small light yellow pillow already that I was on the verge of getting rid of but put in the small...

as expected, mostly
This duvet set is soft, colors were as I expected them to be based on the photo. Two things though- the striped parts in the photo (underside of duvet cover and pillow) appear to be embroidered, this is not the case, it is just a faded white outline. It didn't advertise as an embroidered piece, so that's no biggie. Also there are no corner ties to hold the insert in place if you are looking for that. Overall it is pretty and soft. Nothing fancy. I think it is a little overpriced, I was hoping for a more oooh and ahhhh moment once I put it on the bed.
Wrinkles really easy
I ordered this set for a casual update. When it arrived the first thing I was not thrilled about was some of the leaves are not solid they look digitalized. The second thing was that after washing it the chocolate brown leaves already looked faded. Last was that having it on your bed and using it daily it wrinkles really bad so after a week I felt like I needed to take it off and iron it. Not really worth the money.
